In this recipe, I will cook peach gum with red dates, dried Lily petals, lotus seeds and rock sugar. This is one of the best dessert combinations and one of my childhood favourites. Peach gum is the best ingredient to include in sweet soups and desserts. Besides the wonderful taste, peach gum dessert has plenty of nutrition benefits, such as amino acids and organic acid which is believed to improve the skin lucency, decrease wrinkles and lighten dark spots.

How to Cook the Peach Gum Dessert Sweet Soup?

  1. Wash and soak peach gum overnight. Clean the impurities and drain.
  2. Wash and soak the dried lily petals and lotus seeds for 1 hour.
  3. In a pot, add in the peach gum, dry lily petals, lotus seeds, red dates and rock sugar. Add in 1.5 litres of water.
  4. Put the pot in the wok, simmer it for 45 minutes.
  5. Done and serve immediately. You may serve it cold.
