Stir-fry roasted pork (炒烧肉) is a plain and humble dish that anyone can whip up in their kitchen. It’s delicious and goes well with steamed rice. Normally I bought roasted pork from a pork meat vendor located at a nearby morning market, but you always can make your own roasted pork. I like the meat with 70-30 fat (means 30 % with fat) for the best result. My family likes to serve this dish during Chinese New Year. We like to wrap the stir-fry roasted pork with green lettuce. This is the best combination of all times. The stir-fry roasted porks are great with ginger-scallion dipping sauce. They are essential condiment to the dish and easy to make.
Recipe Ingredients
The recipe calls for only four (4) main Ingredients:
- Roasted Pork
- Garlic
- Scallion
- Chinese Celery
Let’s look at the dish seasoning:
- Sesame Oil
- Soy Sauce
- Cooking Oil
- Salt
- Oyster Sauce
- Dark Soy Sauce
- Sugar
How to Cook Stir-fry Roasted Pork?
- Put all the seasoning and 2 tbsp of boiled water in the bowl. Mix well (for later use).
- Pour 1 tbsp cooking oil in the medium heat wok or pan (no need to put too much oil because the roasted pork will seep out some pork oil).
- Add garlic, stir-fry it until fragrant.
- Add sliced roasted pork and stir-fry for 2 minutes in medium heat. Add 2 tbsp or 3 tbsp of the seasoning mixture (it depends on your preference). Stir-fry for 1 minute.
- Lastly, add chopped scallion and Chinese celery. Stir-fry for 1 to 2 minutes.
- Serve immediately.

- 350 gram roasted pork
- 3 cloves garlic
- 25 gram scallion
- 25 gram chinese celery
Seasoning
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp cooking oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1/2 tbsp dark soy sauce
- 1/2 tbsp sugar
