Peach Gum Dessert with Milk (桃胶炖奶) is a wonderful dessert to serve hot or cold. Peach gum dessert with milk recipe contains ingredients like peach gum, red dates, white fungus, dried longan, rock sugar, and milk. This is one of my favourite desserts in my peach gum dessert series. Milk is added into this recipe for an excellent source of vitamins and minerals. It provides potassium, B12, calcium, and vitamin D, which are lacking in many diets. Milk is also a good source of vitamin A, magnesium, zinc, and B1. I will use the double boiling (隔水炖) method for this dessert. This technique is said to achieve the maximum extraction of flavour with little compromise to the flavour or texture of the ingredients used.
