Pan-fry Black Pomfret with Turmeric and Curry Powder

Pan-fry black pomfret with turmeric and curry powder (咖喱黄姜粉煎黑鲳) is a unique and delicious dish. This seafood dish is easy to prepare and excellent for lunch and dinner. In this recipe, I've included the ingredients turmeric, which contains curcumin, a substance that helps to improve heart health and prevent Alzheimer's disease. Turmeric is known as a strong antioxidant and has anti-inflammatory properties. It also helps to improve and overcome depression. In this recipe, I also add some curry powder to further enhance the flavor of the fried fish.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 3 Black Pomfret medium size
  • 4 -5 slices Ginger

Seasoning

  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 10 gram Turmeric powder
  • 10 gram Curry powder
  • 3 tbsp Cooking oil

Instructions

  • Marinade fish with salt, turmeric and curry powder. Put it in the fridge for 1 hour.
  • Heat up oil in a wok or pan. Put in the sliced ginger. Stir-fry until it is fragrant and then drain it out.
  • Fry the fish for about 4-10 minutes (depending on the size of the fish), or until its surface turns golden brown.
  • Lift the fish out from wok or pan and drain the remaining oil before serving.
